There are different types of material to use as kitchen counters. At the moment of installing a counter, remember the following:

• Close the kitchen doors so the dust of the stone doesn’t get in the house, since it is highly spreadable.
• If there is any family member with asthma, he or she should avoid breathing this dust.
• Ask to the granite workers to cover with plastic all the drawer slides, because the dust can damage them.

The doors with hinges with break system or silent close system cannot be forced by hand to close, it is enough to push them gently and they will close easily. If they are forced the piston will be damaged.

Avoid cleaning the doors with wet towels or abrasive sponges like Scotch Brite or other similar, these have another use. Clean only with a dry cotton wiper, avoid cleaning products. If you want to eliminate any trace of grease, add 4 drops of dishwasher liquid to one liter of water and apply it. Avoid to to this frequently.
